Beau's Grandfather on his mother's side: Hemingway's fleece is very fine, measuring 17.8 microns with a standard deviation of 3.6 microns and a coefficient of variation of 19.1 percent when he was three years of age. Today his C of V is 15.9% which is even more remarkable since Hemingway is over twelve years old and has been shorn at least nine times. He is a big, robust male who yielded almost ten pounds of fleece from one year's growth at last year's shearing. He has over 450 cria on the ground in the U.S. and each one is spectacular. Hemingway can only be described as incredible!!
Introducing "FG The Beau" We acquired Beau in June 2009 from Bill and Sherry Watkins of Frost Glen Alpacas, Louden, Tennessee. Beau's fiber is marvelous!! Beau offers color, crimp, staple length, density as well as fineness!!! Check out his genetics!!! On top of all of this, he has the sweetest disposition. We are expecting great things from Beau in the coming year and will plan to show him in 2010 if time and finances allow.

Beau's Grandsire on Dam's side Peruvian Hemingway G171
Beau's Grandfather on his father's side: Silverado's picture speaks for itself!! As shown in his picture, Silverado boasts excellent conformation, brilliant color and fiber all the way to his toes!!! Silverado was a 1997 Peruvian import. Records show at 1.5 years old his AFD to be 21.7, SD 5.9, CV 23 and percent greater than 30 at 7.3. Silverado's offspring seem to carry on these wonderful fiber characteristics, as does Beau!!!

LOVELY FIBER!
